Bike & Culture is an easy tour by bike in the natural park of the river Sile.

Your guide will provide you with a bike and will lead you along this nice itinerary where you will only meet other bikes and pedestrians. You will spend an unforgettable day riding by bike in this marvellous park as far as you will reach Treviso .

From Venice to Treviso in the natural park of the river Sile

We suggest comfortable clothes: gym shoes, short pants or a jumpsuit. The tour will last approximately 3 hours and will include numerous stops. The difficulty level is low so that this experience will relax your mind and tone up your body. In any case you should be at least familiar with bikes.

Itinerary

The tour we offer is unique because it follows the river which joins the ancient towns of Treviso and Venice . We will ride along the "restere", ancient 14 th century river banks from where oxen and horses used to carry boats ("burci") with a rope ("resta"). These boats came from the Adriatic sea and were full of all kind of goods.

You will meet your guide at 8.45 and leave by train at 9.15 to Quarto d'Altino where you will arrive at 9.45 to meet your instructor and bikes:

1st stop: Casale sul Sile, its ancient port and the Carraresi Tower
2nd stop: Casier with wine and food tasting in a typical eating house along the river
3rd stop: Treviso historical centre
You will go back to the station of Treviso and return by train to Venice

Lunch with Venetian snacks and wines in a typical eating house along the river Sile. The place where we will stop is very important: here you will admire Villa Foscarini called "Re Sole" where the nobles used to spend the summer far from the noise of Venice and the Lido .

Fish: Sarde in saor, fried shellfish with sparkling Prosecco wine
Meat: Meatballs and Pork roast from Treviso with white Marzemina
Sweet: Biscuits with cartizze grapes and Cake based on Prosecco and Passito di Raboso
