RIVER & CULTURE On the River Sile with swans and Venetian villas

The RIVERS&CULTURE tour takes place on the River Sile which, in the past, was very important because it connected Venice to Treviso and is flanked by marvellous Venetian villas. A rafting rubber dinghy with an electric engine powered by a solar panel will let you live the incredible emotions of navigation without polluting the environment.

The choice of a rafting rubber dinghy with an electric engine powered by a solar panel which is good for navigation in still waters is due to our aim to respect the magnificent nature of this unique park. This experience will give you the opportunity to spend a particular day on the waters getting in touch with the river and its atmospheres.

We suggest comfortable clothes: gym shoes, short pants or a jumpsuit. The tour will last approximately 3 hours and will include numerous stops. The difficulty level is low so that this experience will relax your mind and tone up your body. In any case you should be at least familiar with bikes.

Itinerary

The part of the river where we will navigate was very important during the "Serenissima" Reign and was not changed by time (it is a protected regional natural park). With its Venetian villas, abandoned ancient boats, old houses this itinerary will enchant you!

You will meet your guide at 8.45 and leave by train at 9.15 to Quarto d'Altino where you will arrive at 9.45 to meet your instructor and reach the pier by car:

Lunch in a typical eating house next to Villa Foscarini
Return by car to Quarto D'Altino and departure by train to Venice
Lunch with Venetian snacks and wines in a typical eating house along the river Sile. The place where we will stop is very important: here you will admire Villa Foscarini called "Re Sole" where the nobles used to spend the summer far from the noise of Venice and the Lido.

Fish: Sarde in saor, fried shellfish with sparkling Prosecco wine
Meat: Meatballs and Pork roast from Treviso with white Marzemina
Sweet: Biscuits with cartizze grapes and Cake based on Prosecco and Passito di Raboso
